Which lampshade proportions suit your bottle?
Choose a bottle shape and dimensions. The illustration shows how shade width, shade height and the bottle body work together, and offers a design recommendation for a balanced bottle lamp.
Design guidance; technical suitability requires a separate assessment.
Measure the bottle without its cap or stopper. For relief decoration, a wide label or unusual geometry, use the actual widest point.
The shade needs visual support
For narrow bottles, the calculator also considers height to avoid pairing a tall bottle with a shade that looks too small.
Shoulders change the effect
A tapered shade emphasises pronounced bottle shoulders. A cylindrical shade adds a calm, straight form above. Compare both versions directly in the preview.
Presence is a design choice
Subtle, balanced or bold deliberately changes the recommended shade size. The recommendation is slightly more compact for small bedside tables.
How does Designeria calculate the recommendation?
The calculation combines bottle width with visible bottle height. As a design starting point, a shade should look clearly wider than the lamp base; for particularly slender bottles, the additional height factor avoids a recommendation that looks too small. Your preferred effect and intended location adjust this starting point slightly. You choose the shade shape yourself: tapered or cylindrical. The calculated dimensions describe a design size range; available shop models may differ.
